Prepare covered turf before the 2027 restriction arrives.
Use the official process in the right order: identify likely nonfunctional turf, confirm authority, apply before removal, complete pre-conversion review, then obtain licensed design and installation proposals.
Independent referral service. Not SNWA, a utility, government program, or contractor. Information may be shared with one Nevada-licensed provider only with permission.
Do not remove turf before SNWA authorization. Starting before the required pre-conversion visit can make a project ineligible.
Current published business/HOA framework
- Minimum project size is generally 400 square feet, with limited discretion for smaller complete conversions.
- Published rebate is $5 per square foot for the first 10,000 square feet and $1.50 thereafter for non-single-family properties.
- Projects above 10,890 square feet require written planning approval from the applicable local jurisdiction before SNWA authorization.
- Converted areas require efficient drip irrigation, permeable surface treatments, and living plant coverage rules.
- A conservation easement protects the converted area in perpetuity.
